We are looking at hiring a venue at the bottom of Wainui hill in on Lower Hutt side for Saturday night after the racing and have a tea (food catered) and BYO drinks. This depends on numbers, and could be anywhere from $10 - $25 per head if we do a roast or something. Accommodation: There is a Top Ten park on the lower Hutt side or the Wainui Hill. There is a Countdown supermarket, McDonlads, money machines etc 2mins form the hall. Any questions please ask. Cam

what will be the offical answer on the roll over rule (from the committee). as a comitte member who indicitcated (during discussions at Hamilton) the role over rule would apply. There seems to be many interpretations on how this should be policed or even if it is even a good idea to run this rule at a national champs.
I am sure many who wish to attend would like to know the offical answer from the full committtee and how they wish to go forward on this item. That is before the close date of entries.
From the way I read the rules a club can still determin if they wish to use the red light rule or not ??
Should you wish to run the roll over rule then I am sure many will want to know how this will be controlled, will you have the same people doing the red lights all day to be consistant, will you advise what rules apply and when etc before racing starts ??
this is not to stir things up rather hoping some serious thought will go into this should this rule end up being used, put to the vote by the racers on the day etc

Sorry, I have only just seen your post!
The roll over rule...... We are yet to get together as a club (all our members are involved not just committee) and have a chat on what we will do. But going on past times and if we get a lot of entry's (Could be 80 odd) we will be pushed for time (everybody knows the wall at Wellington) the amount of stops per race would be silly. From what I have heard from a a lot of people is they do not want the rollover rule in place at NZ's. My understanding is it's up to the hosting club to make the call. To answer your other questions, we will have a race director that IS NOT racing so will be supervising every single race, with help from officials that will swap around. Of course all rules e.t.c will be discussed and any questions at drivers briefing before we start.
Thanks for your questions Peter. Cam

Hi Cam,
Any call on the roll over rule yet?
Personally does not bother me one way or the other as long as the competitors have plenty of notice.
Cheers, Aaron (out-going 1nz?) ha ha.

No extra charge for a handout. We have hired the NZRCS transponders for the day. Depending on how many people need them, they may need to be returned each race. I will be able to confirm this after Thursday.
Cheers

Hi Guys an Gals We have a caterer that can do us roast meals. It will be a buffet type deal. Pork, Lamb or Chicken. Usual vege, salads etc. Price is $18 per head. The club has subsidized the price. It is BYO Drinks (Alcohol etc) and we will most likely have juice/ fizz etc left over from race day. If you could please pay into the club account as we are paying the company one sum. Just use name and number as a ref. If you don't want a roast and would like to sort your own tea or just want to hang out then that's fine, the idea is just to have a nice casual end to a busy day where we can laugh, cry, pack-a-sad or make plans to take out the new 1NZ. ;D The venue is the Wellington Hot Rod club rooms. Address is 4 Rishworth Street, Lower Hutt. As you are coming down the City side of Wainui Hill it is the first street on you left. Map: maps.google.co.nz/maps?q=4+Rishworth+Street,+Lower+Hutt&hl=en&sll=-41.229549,174.917724&sspn=0.000541,0.001321&oq=4+rish&t=h&hnear=4+Rishworth+St,+Waiwhetu,+Lower+Hutt+5010&z=16 If you have changed plans and are not going or if you would like to go please get in touch with me asap. A couple of updates: We have some more room for pit space, we are able to use the upstairs area of the hall. The area ether side of the doorway as you enter the hall will have lights set up. There will be a sign on the road at the gates for the new people. Parking- if you can unload at the door and then move you car and park in the courtyard next to the field. (will put a sign up) Friday night- with the amount of people attending you will have to have some patience, 5 cars on the track at a time, one on- one off type deal. There wont be any need for rushing. Keep checking this thread for updates. We have had a great group of sponsors support the Wellington club and the NZ's.
